If your system currently uses 8040 (8-inch diameter, 40-inch length) membranes from DuPont Filmtec, Hydranautics, or Toray, this NanoH2O membrane (formerly branded LG Chem NanoH2O) is a direct drop-in replacement for 8040 elements of the same type (brackish or seawater). Compare flow and rejection on the datasheets.
The 'R G2' stands for Rejection and Generation 2. This specific model is optimized for high salt rejection (99.8%) and fouling resistance. Other models like the 'ES L' are optimized for Energy Saving (lower pressure), while '440' models offer higher surface area (440 ft²) for more flow.
